Chili’s Party 2006

The annual Chili party was held at the Wirth’s on the cozy porch. The porch was nicely decorated by Donna. We all appreciated her making it look really festive for the occasion. We had over 20 people at the party, and eight chilies were in competition for the best chili. Bobby&Lowell was the winner of having the best chili. Just ask Lowell his secret in making the best chili. Walt came in second followed by Rod &Joy for third. We appreciate all the people who brought food for the party. Some of the people didn’t know the deserts were in the dinning room. They were very good for those who found them. We are all looking forward to new skiing season.

Christmas Party 2006

Elmhurst Ski Club had their Christmas party at Stephanie’s home again this year. We thank her so much for allowing us to celebrate the party at her home. All of us that attended had a very good time. We had plenty of good food, ham, scallop potatoes, devil eggs, hors’d’oeu’vres, salads, and desserts. Jackie brought her delicious brownies. Christy’s ice cream cake and Donna’s apple cake were very good. We also helped decorate the Christmas tree. Because it was a leaning tree, Ray used his engineering skills and got it lined up correctly. After the meal, we engaged in sharing our wealth with each other through the White Elephant gift exchange. There was a lot of trading and stealing of gifts. Everybody was trading for the gold decorations, and the vase. After the dust settled, everybody came home with a valuable treasure

Stefanie’s Picture Party

Thanks again for Stefanie to open her house for having our covered dish meal. Thanks for all who brought food and desserts to the meal. We all enjoyed the wonderful food especially the meat loafs. We all had plenty to eat. We all enjoyed seeing all the pictures of our recent Steamboat trip hanging all over the house. We were entertained by the slide show of all the pictures from the trip. We also viewed many more slide shows of former trips our club have gone too. Thanks for Craig bringing those to the party. We want to thank Stefanie for taking all the pictures she gave each one of us. I know some of them are not the most flattering, but we all had the ability to laugh at ourselves with our friends. Pete, that pictures she caught you on the couch after a hard day of skiing is exactly the way we all felt after that first day of skiing. We were a little bit out of shape. Thanks again for all who helped us make some good memories.
