The Elmers finished a busy year and are going into another one now! Make sure your membership is up to date by sending in your dues or paying at the annual picnic August 12. Remember, to sign up and receive the early sign up discount for the ski trip, you need to have current membership paid too. A membership application is included in this newsletter. Still only $20 (cheap!)
What have we done this year? Check the website at http://www.ElmhurstSkiClub.com and see what Lester Hampton has done with it! For the summer our plans included biking, camping, mini-golf and, of course, the PICNIC, I just mentioned. Last winter we skied with CMSC at Aspen-Snowmass for Chicago week and had a greaaaaaaaaaaat club trip to Vail, Colorado. What a super time and price we got because our Trips Chairperson, Jackie Homa really cares to plan a super trip and price and everyone on the trip mingles and mixes so there is always someone to ski with and eat with. We had participants in the CMCS racing schedule too and a lodge at Brule in December. Sound good?
Well, next year will be just as wonderful and somethings even better. It is the club’s fiftieth anniversary and a wonderful banquet is being planned and a reunion of past and current members. Our winter trip will be to Steamboat, a favorite with just about everyone who has ever been there. We have condos at the Ranch in January. So how about signing up to join us for all the fun we have planned?
