SPRING BANQUET

This year’s spring banquet was held at Bailey’s Restaurant in Westmont on April 22. The food was very good and we had a great turn out. We all enjoyed ourselves. If you missed the banquet, you missed seeing the nice trophies that were made by our President Ray. Rod got one of the trophies for not finishing both of his races with a time of 00:00. Mary Leonard and Craig Swiontek both got an award for their fastest times in the racing, while Debbie Clegg and Alan Meyers got an award for the most improved times for their racing. The last Award went to Jackie Homa for her great work in helping the club with the trips. Thanks Jackie for all your hard work. We appreciate all your work you do for us to have wonderful ski trips. Looking forward to seeing you all at the picnic at Jackie and Larry’s

GOLF OUTING

We had a great time at the miniature golf course. It was a little hot, but we survived the heat. We had pizzas and beer after we finished golfing. I really got lucky by making three- one shot holes. Christy would have gotten a decent score but for one hole that was a real challenge for her. We stopped counting the number of strokes on that hole. Thank God she didn’t break the putter over that big rock nearby. I see how golfing can be quite a frustrating experience. Lowell and Bobby had a great time, and did a good job keeping us loose with their humor. Thanks again for Rick and Christy running this event for us. Let’s do this again next year, and hope to have a better turn out from the rest of the club.
