BIKE TO THE BOTANICAL
GARDENS - SUNDAY, MAY 22, @11:00 AM
The Elmhurst Ski Club will be
riding from Blue Star Memorial Woods in the Cook County Forest
Preserve to the Botanical Gardens and back. The ride is on paved trails
and about 15 miles total. It’s an easy ride with no hills and you can ride at
your own pace! The Chicago Botanical Gardens is open for viewing
(free)! And you can enjoy some of their
beautiful displays. Then back for a BBQ and picnic (bring your own food
and nonalcoholic drinks). We will have the grill hot so if you want to
cook burgers, brats or what-have-you, you can. You can bring a dish to
pass or a bag of chips to share. It doesn’t need to be gourmet fare, some
no-brainer is fine. This is a joint ride with the Four Winds Ski Club so
you can meet new and old friends. You are welcome to bring friends,
family and nonmembers to this ride. The more the
merrier! No reservations are required and your trip leaders are
