CHILI PARTY

This year chili party was held at the Wirth’s in October. We had a good turn out, and the weather was also nice. It was good to see Craig in spite of his two broken feet and some sore ribs. We had eight chilies to taste from to determine who had the best chili this year. After the heavy voting and the recount, it was determine that Walt had the winning recipe. Walt has been the winner of the chili party before. He is always working on ways to improve his chili recipe. What did Walt put in his chili this year? It was very good. Thanks for all the people who brought a chili or desserts. All the food was very delicious, and we all had a fun time. Lee

ELMHURST SKI CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY

We had our annual Christmas Party at Stefanie Hampton’s house on December 15. Thank you for having us at your house for the Christmas party. Your house was nicely decorated as usual. We all enjoyed eating all the good food that everyone brought. We have some very good cooks in our club. We had an excellent turn out. Most of us got to talk to Bob Nordstrom on the phone. He was enjoying himself in Florida. We also got to meet and know some of the new members of the club. We all had a fun time. Lee

Spring Banquet

This years Spring Banquet will be held on April 16 at Ripples at 8025 S. Cass Avenue, Darien, IL. Telephone number is 630-960-1600. We will assemble about 6:30PM, and the dinner will start about 7:00PM. We will have a family style meal served to us near the main bar area. We will have roasted sirloin of beef, lightly golden baked chicken, and mostaccioli for our meats. There will be a soup of the day with fresh salad. The vegetable will be green beans with AuGratin potatoes. The dessert will be vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Come hungry because you get to eat seconds, thirds, and fourths……The cost is $22.00 per person, which includes the tip. Drinks will be extra. At 9PM., there will be live music provided by a DJ. Hope to see all of you on the dance floor, so wear your dancing shoes.
