SPRING BANQUET

All who attended the spring banquet had a very good time. The banquet was held on April 16 at the Millennium Banquets& Charhouse. There was plenty of good food, and all you could eat. We all found out that Walt was hungry. Some very nice awards were given out by Ray Lucas. John and Debbie Clegg

both received a trophy for the fastest time. Kim and Bo got a trophy for the most improved time for their racing. Walt got a trophy for working hard and running the cross country skiing. Is that true that Fred got a trophy for just showing up? The good looking trophies were made by Ray Lucas. What

a sculptor! Thanks for all who attended to make this a very nice evening.

LAKE SHELBYVILLE

We took off on June 8^th for some fun in the sun at Lake Shelbyville. We would return home on June 13^th. It’s about a 4-hour drive south from Elmhurst, mostly highway. We were a group of 19 in all! However only 4 were Elmers! And 3 were from Sitzmark! We went swimming, tubing, water skiing, bicycling and boating in general. We had a swimming trampoline, which made things interesting. Not an easy thing to get on. While swimming we were visited by “Shelly” the Lake Shelbyville monster!

Several Shelly’s as a matter of fact! After talking with the Ranger we were told that what we were seeing were water snakes and that they weren’t really dangerous but he said he would not want to get bit by one! So with that in mind we gave them their space and went to the beach to swim!

Weather was generally good, however we were visited by some rain! Just ask Craig about his first night! Thought he was going to float away! But the sun always came out again along with the heat! Which made it perfect for swimming!

Hope some of you all can come with us on one of these adventures!
