The Ballad of Debbie and Billy

Once upon a time....   oh... let’s say last March. The Elmhurst Ski Club went to Steamboat Springs Colorado to participate in CMCS’s Chicago Week.  (and maybe drink some beer) One day the club members were participating in a race, when Elmhurst’s own Debbie Clegg was paired up to dual with someone by the name of Billy Kidd.  Apparently Billy is known to be a pretty good racer. You’ll just have to take our, and the international Olympic Committee’s word on that.  After both skiers lined up for the start, the race was started. Billy, being the Champion that he is, probably thought that he could phone the race in and be in front of a bowl of chili within the next ten minutes.  Debbie, probably raised her game a little to match her competition. When all was said and done, Debbie had won the race! Billy was, as always, a great sport about the whole thing, but thuroughly trounced Debbie in the second heat.
